AP Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme 2023 Amount

Andhra Pradesh govt. will soon credit Jagananna Vasathi Deevena amount into bank accounts of beneficiaries. Through this scheme, govt. will provide financial assistance to ITI / Polytechnic / Degree students to pay their hostel and mess charges in institutions. The following amount will be provided in AP Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme 2023:-
  • ITI students will receive Rs. 10,000 (Rs. 5,000 as 1st installment & Rs. 5,000 as 2nd installment).
  • Diploma/Polytechnic students will get Rs. 15,000 ((Rs. 7,500 as 1st installment & Rs. 7,500 as 2nd installment).
  • Degree students will get Rs. 20,000 (Rs. 10,000 as 1st installment & Rs. 10,000 as 2nd installment).
The next installment under Jagananna Vasathi Deevena would be released in the month of February 2023.

Objectives of Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme 2023

AP YSR Vasathi Deevena scheme aims to:- 
  • Improve the Gross Enrolment Rate (GER),
  • Provide quality higher education, 
  • Ensure continuation of students in the stream of higher education 
  • Equip the students with essential skills.
Students will get financial assistance for Vasathi Deevena Scheme 2023 through DBT mode. More than 10.68 lakh students are expected to get benefited in Vasati Deevena Scheme this year. 

Benefits of Jagananna Vasati Deevena Scheme

  • Under Jagananna Vasathi Deewana, the government provides for the hostel and mess charges of BPL students.
  • Industrial Training Institute Courses (ITI) students will receive Rs. 10,000 every year, polytechnic students get Rs. 15,000 and degree students get Rs. 20,000 per annum.

Jagananna Vasathi Deevena 1st / 2nd Installment Release Date

In this scheme, AP govt. will provide financial support to students for hostel and mess charges of ITI, polytechnic and degree courses. The status and eligible list of scheme is available now. Around 10,68,000 students would be benefited from this scheme.
This scheme will assist students who wants to pursue their education but are unable to do so due to financial crisis. The state govt. will provide amount to every eligible students in their mother or guardian account for food and hostel expenses. AP govt. will provide assistance amount in 2 equal installments in the month of February and July every year.

AP Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must fulfill the AP Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme eligibility criteria to become eligible to avail scheme benefits:-
  1. The students pursuing the following courses are eligible-
    • Polytechnic
    • ITI
    • Degree
    • PG/Ph.D 
  2. The students must be enrolled in the following institution
    • Government or Government Aided
    • Private Colleges affiliated to State Universities/ Boards.
  3. The family’s annual income should be less than Rs 2.5 Lakh per anum.
  4. Beneficiaries should only have the wetland below 10 acres/ agricultural land below 25 acres/ or wetland and agricultural land under 25 acres.
  5. The beneficiaries should not own any four-wheelers (Car, Taxi, Auto, etc).
  6. Government employees are not eligible for the scheme. All sanitary workers irrespective of their salary/ recruitment, are eligible.
  7. If anyone in the family is availing pension then he or she is not eligible for the scheme.
