Good news for students and their mothers, 8th installment under AP Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme 2023 to be released soon by the Andhra Pradesh government. Earlier 7th JVD installment was transferred on 30 November 2022. In this scheme, the state govt. provides full fee reimbursement to every eligible student including tuition fee, special fees, exam fees and other fees. Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme aims to help students from relatively low income backgrounds in getting higher education. Money under the scheme to be credited directly to the accounts of students mothers. Previously money used to transferred to owners of colleges. This scheme is immensely benefiting the students as well as their mothers who are now sending their children to schools.

AP Jagananna Vidya Deevena 8th Installment Update 

The Jagananna Vidya Deevena 8th installment would be released very soon. Till then, check the 7th installment updates. Disbursement of quarterly reimbursement of total fees to 11.02 lakh students for the period of July to September 2022 has been done under the Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has credited the amount into the accounts of the mothers of the student beneficiaries at Madanapalle by clicking the button on 30 November 2022. A total amount of Rs. 694 crore has been reimbursed as JVD 7th installment.

Unlike the previous TDP regime, which kept the fee reimbursement pending for years, the YSRC government has been reimbursing the total fees of students. In fact, Rs 1,778 crore kept due by the TDP government from 2017 towards fees reimbursement was cleared by the YSRC government.

The total amount, including the previous dues given by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government, is Rs. 12,401 crore, which has come as a blessing for lakhs of poor students in the state and those who are studying ITI, polytechnic, degree, engineering and medicine. Soon after a quarter is completed, the total fee amount for that period is reimbursed now.

Besides the Jagananna Vidya Deevena, to help the students meet their lodging and boarding expenses and not put the burden on their parents, the State government has also been reimbursing the mess and boarding charges in two instalments every year under the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena. For ITI students, Rs 10,000 is being paid per year, while it is Rs 15,000 for polytechnic and Rs 20,000 for a degree, engineering, medicine and other professional courses.

The amount is also being credited into the accounts of the mother of the beneficiaries so as to enable them to confront the college management in case facilities or academics are not up to the mark. Besides, it helps makes colleges more accountable.

  • Jagananna Vidya Deevena 3rd installment date - 30 November 2021 (Rs 686 crore to 11.03 lakh students)

AP Jagananna Vidya Deevena 7th Installment Date

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on 30 November 2022 transfers 7th installment of Rs. 694 crore into bank accounts of 11.02 lakh mothers of students as part of July-September 2022 quarter total fee reimbursement under Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme. 

6th installment was earlier transferred on 11 August 2022 where CM deposited Rs. 693 crore into the bank accounts of 11.02 lakh mothers of students as part of April-June 2022 quarter total fee reimbursement under Jagananna Vidya Deevena.  

Jagananna Vidya Deevena How Much Amount 

To provide higher education to poor students, the state government is reimbursing fee regularly on quarterly basis. This is done by depositing Rs. 15,000 amount into the accounts of mothers of students studying ITI, polytechnic, degree, engineering, medicine and other courses.

Till 30/11/2022, Ap state government has deposited Rs. 12,401 crore under Jaganna Vidya Deevana and Jagananna Vasathi Deevana schemes. This amount includes payment of arrears of Rs. 1,778 crore kept pending by previous AP government. AP state government has also been providing the financial assistance of Rs. 20,000 to students pursuing degree, engineering and medicine, Rs. 15,000 for polytechnic students, Rs. 10,000 for ITI students under Jagananna Vasathi Deevana scheme towards boarding and lodging expenses.
Under Jagananna Vidya Deevana, 2,17,238 SC students, 45,450 ST students, 5,30,995 BC students, 1,02,707 Kapu community students and 70,964 minority students are getting benefit. The State government appealed to mothers of students to pay the concerned college fee within 10 days after the amount is credited into their account and if they fail to do so, the next installment will be paid directly to colleges.
