Harishchandra Sahayata Yojana in Odisha Budget 2023-24

Finance minister presented Odisha Budget 2023-24 on 24 February 2023. FM said "Under the Harish Chandra Sahayata, the assistance is being increased from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 3,000 for rural areas and from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4,000 for urban areas".

FM also said "In order to free the people from hardship / tension of carrying the body of their deceased family members from the place of death to the place of the cremation / burial , specially designed dead body carrying vehicles (hearse) have been provided out of CMRF resources of CMRF to the district hospitals, medical College & hospitals etc under an initiative called "Mahaprayan".
