Online applications for PM Yasasvi Central Sector Scheme of Top Class Education in College for OBC, EBC and DNT Students are invited at scholarships.gov.in. Interested candidates can apply online for award of scholarships at 2 levels i.e for students who are studying in class 9th and 11th. The Yasasvi Entrance Test (YET) 2023-2024 has been cancelled and selection for this year will be done on the basis of merit to be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in class 8th and 10th. How to Apply Online for PM Yasasvi Yojana 2023-2024
- First of all, you can go to National Scholarship Portal https://scholarships.gov.in/
- Once you reached there, click at "Fresh Application" link under 'Application Submission for AY 2023-2024' section.
- Then PM Yasasvi Scheme fresh application login page will get displayed.
- Now you must click at "New Student ? Register Here" link.
- On next page, you must read the instructions, keep mentioned documents handy, agree to conditions and proceed to fill PM Yasasvi Yojana online registration form
- You can make registration through Aadhar card number or EID and fill online registration form for PM Yasasvi Central Sector Scheme of Top Class Education in College for OBC, EBC and DNT Students.
- Then you can make login at fresh application login page.
PM Yasasvi Scheme Renewal Application
- First of all, you can go to National Scholarship Portal https://scholarships.gov.in/
- Once you reached there, click at "Renewal Application" link under 'Application Submission for AY 2023-24' section.
- Then PM Yasasvi Scheme renewal application login page will get displayed.
- You can login into your account for the current academic year. Application Id is same as last year Student Registration Id.
- In case of completion of course, you can not apply for renewal.
- Students eligible for renewal are advised not to apply in fresh category as duplicate applications will be rejected by NSP. In you want to apply for Fresh, withdraw your Renewal Application from NSP.
Cancellation of Yasasvi Entrance Test (YET) 2023-2024
This has reference to the Public Notice dated 11.07.2023 published on www.yet.nta.ac.in for conducting Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India- YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST on 29.09.2023. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment entrusted the responsibility of conducting YET 2023-2024 to National Testing Agency for selection of candidates belonging to OBC, EBC and DNT categories, studying in Class IX and Class XI for award of scholarship for studying in Top Schools identified by the MoSJ&E.
Now, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment vide its Public Notice dated 22.09.2023 has decided that instead of the Entrance Test, the selection for this year will now be done on the basis of the merit to be prepared considering the marks obtained in the Class VIII & X, as applicable, as per scheme guidelines. The students will be selected through NSP Portal. All students who obtained 60% or above marks in 8th or 10th class are eligible to apply on NSP portal.
Therefore, all the candidates are hereby informed that the YET 2023-24 which was scheduled to be held on 29.09.2023 stands cancelled. For further details, it is advised to visit the National Scholarship Portal (https://scholarships.gov.in) and website of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (https://socialjustice.gov.in) regularly.
About PM Yasasvi Yojana 2023-2024
Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment of the Govt. of India, has formulated PM Young achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India. This PM YASASVI scheme aims to award scholarships to Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC) and Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes De-notified Tribe(DNT) students, annual income of whose parents/guardian is not more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs, studying in identified Schools.
The award of scholarships is at two levels:
- For students who are studying in Class IX
- For students who are studying in Class XI
Selection of candidates for award of Scholarships under the Scheme is through a written test known as Yasasvi Entrance Test (YET). For the current academic year i.e 2023-24, this exam stands cancelled as per the public notice. So, there is no need to apply online for PM Yasasvi Scheme at https://yet.nta.ac.in/ for the present year.
