Odisha Freeship Card 2025 online registration process begins at Odisha State Scholarship Portal (OSSP). Freeship card is a declaration by the Odisha government that student is eligible for scholarship under Post-Matric Scholarship schemes of ST & SC Development Department. Each freeship card owner will get scholarship as per prevailing rates/guidelines of the department.
From AY 2021-22 onwards, Freeship Card will be issued to Fresh Applicants (New registrations/ registered user applying scholarship in new course) and once issued, this shall remain valid for entire duration of course.

Odisha Freeship Card Apply Online 2025 Process
- First of all, go to official Odisha State Scholarship portal at scholarship.odisha.gov.in
- Once you reach there, click "Apply Freeship Card" link under 'Important Links' section.
- Read the instructions and click "Proceed to Apply Freeship Card" tab.
- Then page for student login at Odisha State Scholarship Portal (scholarship.odisha.gov.in) will open.
- Existing users can enter unique number / aadhar number and password to make Freeship Card login and proceed to fill the remaining freeship card online application form.
- New users can click at "Don't have an account - Register Here" link.
- Upon clicking registration tab, the page for making one time online registration for students for Odisha Freeship Card will open.
- Accept the condition and click at "Proceed" to fill Odisha Freeship Card online registration form.
- Enter your aadhar number and click at "Get OTP" button. Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number to validate it.
- Then enter all the asked details accurately to complete Odisha Freeship Card apply online process.
- Take a printout of the submitted form and keep it for any future reference.
How to Download Freeship Card in Odisha
- Interested eligible ST & SC students can apply for freeship card in Odisha State Scholarship Portal (OSSP) by providing basic eligibility documents i.e. income certificate and caste certificate and basic profile details.
- Upon verification, the District Welfare Officer of domicile district will approve Freeship Card which can be downloaded by student from her/ his login.
Benefits of Odisha Freeship Card
- Institutions shall allow admission to Freeship Card holders without pre-payment of fee considering that student undertake to reimburse the fee upon receipt of scholarship amount as per prevailing rates/ guidelines. However, any residual payment, if needed, will required to be paid by the student to the institute.
- The issuance of Freeship Card only will not ensure payment of scholarship unless scholarship application is made in OSSP and is sanctioned by concerned DWO.
