West Bengal Marriage Registration Form 2024, Status, Certificate Download

West Bengal government is inviting WB Marriage Registration Form 2024 at rgmwb.gov.in portal. Facility to download West Bengal Marriage Certificate PDF and searching marriage records through online mode is available at the MARREG official website. In this article, we have explained the process of tracking West Bengal Marriage application status as well as payment status. You can also check list of marriage officers (search MO) by visiting portal for online registration of marriages in West Bengal, so read this article till the end. 

If you are socially married, please register your marriage immediately using the official website. This is mandatory as per Supreme Court’s verdict dated 14th February 2006 read with State Government’s Gazette Notification dated 29th January, 2008 

No Advocate or Lawyer is entitled to register your marriage. Registration of marriages are not done at any court of law. Only Marriage Officers duly appointed by Judicial Department, Govt. of West Bengal as well as Ex Officio Marriage Officers, appointed by Finance Deptt Govt. of West Bengal are entitled to register/solemnise your Marriage.

West Bengal Online Marriage Registration Form 2024

The state govt. of West Bengal has introduced Online Registration of Marriages on and from 01/12/2018. For online marriage registration you are requested to follow the sequence of steps mentioned below:-

• First of all, visit the portal for online registration of marriages in West Bengal at https://rgmwb.gov.in/MARREG_Portal/MARREG_Home.aspx

• At the homepage, click on the link "Register Your Marriage"

• Upon clicking the link, a new page to 'Get Your Marriage Registered' will open. Hit at the link ‘Click Here to Apply Online’ as shown in the figure.

• Then West Bengal Marriage Registration Form will appear as shown below:-

• Select the Relevant Act of Marriage, fill up Notice /Application pages for Bride and bridegroom or wife and Husband
• Upload full Signature (if illiterate RTI), Signed Photograph (Signature must be put at side base i.e. away from the face), Proof of Birth, Proof of Residential Address and Left Thumb Impression
• Select Marriage Officer from the list as per your choice and apply to the Marriage Officer
• You will receive an SMS and Email containing instructions and application serial number. Your selected MO will also receive a similar SMS
• Contact to the Marriage Officer/Hindu Marriage Registrar over phone and meet him personally/through relative with fees (fees chat given in the website) and original documents that were uploaded at the time of Notice/Application

Check List of Marriage Officers on rgmwb.gov.in Portal

• First of all, visit the portal for online registration of marriages in West Bengal at https://rgmwb.gov.in/MARREG_Portal/MARREG_Home.aspx

• At the homepage, go to the "Public Info" section and click at "Search MO" link.

• Then page to 'Search for Marriage Officers' will open.

• Here you can check list of marriage officers either location wise (specify MO type, district, police station) or MO Name Wise (specify MO name). 
• If someone tries to introduce himself/herself as Marriage Officer, please justify by searching his/her details including his/her photograph from the website. Marriage Officer whose name is not found in the website is definitely a fake Marriage Officer. 
• At the time of Registration/Solemnisation of Marriages, the bride and bridegroom or the wife and husband all three witnesses shall sign in presence of Marriage Officer/ Hindu Marriage Registrar. In the online process, after Solemnisation/Registration, it is mandatory that a joint photograph of Marriage Officer/ Hindu Marriage Registrar along with Bride and bridegroom or wife and Husband is to be uploaded for processing and subsequent generation of Marriage Certificate.

Track WB Marriage Application Status

• First of all, visit the portal for online registration of marriages in West Bengal at https://rgmwb.gov.in/MARREG_Portal/MARREG_Home.aspx

• At the homepage, go to the "Public Info" section and click at "Application Status" link.

• Then page to check WB Marriage application status will open.

• Select the application type (application for marriage / objection) and enter application number to track West Bengal marriage registration status.

West Bengal Marriage Certificate Download PDF

• First of all, visit the portal for online registration of marriages in West Bengal at https://rgmwb.gov.in/MARREG_Portal/MARREG_Home.aspx

• At the homepage, go to the "Services" section and click at "Certified Copy of Marriage Records" link.

• Then page to check certified copy of marriage records will appear as shown below:-

• You can select registration period from 1 June 2019 to check marriage certification status through online mode and then download West Bengal Marriage Certificate PDF.
• If your marriage registration period was upto 31 May 2019, then you will have to manually get Marriage Certificate from registrar office.

Search Marriage Records Online in West Bengal

• First of all, visit the portal for online registration of marriages in West Bengal at https://rgmwb.gov.in/MARREG_Portal/MARREG_Home.aspx

• At the homepage, go to the "Services" section and click at "Search Marriage Records" link.

• Then page to find marriage records online will appear as shown below:-

• Select registration period as "From 1 June 2019" to search records of your marriage through online mode.
• If you select registration period as "Upto 31 May 2019", then you will have to search your marriage records manually.

Track MARREG Payment Status

• First of all, visit the portal for online registration of marriages in West Bengal at https://rgmwb.gov.in/MARREG_Portal/MARREG_Home.aspx
• At the homepage, go to the "Payments" section and click at "Payment Status" link.
• Then page to track West Bengal Marriage Registration Payment Status will open.

• Select service type and enter department payment reference ID, payment date and click "Submit" button.
