Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation was formed with a vision to transform the state into skill hub by skilling the youth to enhance their employability and match the expectations of the Industry. Since 2013 it is functioning as a Corporation under the Special Programme Implementation Department. TNSDC has been declared as the State Nodal Agency for Skill Development by the Government.
The primary goal of this EOI is to select reputable organizations, industry leaders, and institutions as "Training Partners" for TNSDC to implement short-term skill training programs for unemployed youth in specified sectors.

About Short Term Skill Training Scheme in Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu government is mulling to launch a new scheme to provide short-term skill training for the state's unemployed youth in specific sectors. It would be launched in collaboration with public and private entities, as well as corporate houses. Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), a Higher Education wing, is responsible for soliciting Expression of Interest (EOI) from potential training partners.The primary goal of this EOI is to select reputable organizations, industry leaders, and institutions as "Training Partners" for TNSDC to implement short-term skill training programs for unemployed youth in specified sectors.
Who can Register As Training Partners in Short Term Skill Training
Interested institutes, organizations, industry associations, and even government entities can register as training partners under various modes of short term skill training programme.
- 1st mode is for green channel training partners, including factory skill schools, centers of excellence, and industrial associations.
- 2nd mode involves training partners in educational institutions with placement MoUs with industries.
- 3rd mode is for training partners operating through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Green channel partners are expected to offer wage-based employment and apprenticeships to trainees within their organizations or sister concerns. Enrolled candidates must be unemployed youth without current employment or professional compensation from any company.
