Punjab government has started Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana 2024 Eligibility checking facility for performing beneficiary search. People can now even check list of empanelled hospitals as well as track Ecard status at sha.punjab.gov.in. The 5 lakh health insurance scheme in Punjab is running in the name Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana (AB PM-JAY MMSBY) which can be called as Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana in short. In this article, we will tell you the process of how to check Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana eligibility, ecard status, hospital list and give details regarding other aspects of health scheme in the Punjab state.

Sarbat Sehat Bima Scheme in Punjab Budget 2024-25

On 5th March 2024, Finance Minister presented Punjab Budget 2024-25. While delivering the budget speech, FM said "Under Ayushman Bharat - Mukh Mantri Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana, out of the total 44.10 lakh families, e-cards have been generated for 35.59 lakh families, and around ₹2,227 crore approx. has been spent on the treatment through 207 public, 570 private and 6 Government of India empaneled hospitals. An allocation of ₹553 crore has been provisioned in FY 2024-25 under this scheme".

Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana Eligibility (Beneficiary Search)

• To perform Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana beneficiary search, click at "Check for Eligibility in Scheme" or directly click https://sha.punjab.gov.in/shapb/publicPages/benSearchView.php
• Then the page to check Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana eligibility will appear as shown below:-

• Here you can search for entitlement under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojana (AB PM-JAY MMSBY) using your ration card number or by name and other details.

• Then the page to check Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana status will appear as shown below:-

• Here you can search for e card status under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojana using your AB PM-JAY MMSBY ecard / health card number.

• Then the page for checking names of Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana empanelled hospitals will appear as shown below:-

• Select category of hospital (govt/private), district, speciality and click at "Search" button to open Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana hospitals list.

About Punjab Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana 2024

Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana or Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana was firstly launched on 20 August 2019 as a flagship state health insurance scheme. Punjab AB PM-JAY MMSBY scheme aims to provide financial protection to 65% population of state of Punjab. It is entitlement based cashless Health Insurance cover of Rs. 5 Lakh per family per year. Under this scheme, cashless and paperless treatment is available at Government and empanelled Private hospitals.

The cost of premium for 16.65 lakh SECC beneficiary families shall be borne by Central Govt. and State Govt. in 60:40 ratio. The premium cost of remaining 18.49 lakh beneficiary families shall be completely borne by the State (State Treasury & Departments).

5 Lakh Health Card Apply Online - Registration for E-Card Generation

• Now generate e-card from home without visiting anywhere: Download 'Ayushman App' on mobile or visit www.beneficiary.nha.gov.in to self-register.
• Please visit any empaneled private or public hospital, lists available under 'Hospitals' on SHA website for getting e-card generation.

Rs. 5 Lakh Health Insurance Scheme Punjab Documents Required

• Aadhar Card (Mandatory for online KYC. Aadhar not to be uploaded in BIS anywhere)
• Family Identification Document
• No document is required for those who fall in the list of eligible beneficiaries.
• In the case of adding a member (as per the family definition), a valid relation document other than Aadhar is required to be uploaded.
