UIDAI Order Aadhaar PVC Card Service - Apply Online, Track Status

Order Aadhaar PVC Card service has been launched by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Any aadhar card holder can now apply online for PVC aadhar card to get their aadhaar details printed on PVC card. It is durable, easy to carry with multiple security features and is equally valid to other forms of aadhaar like eAadhaar, mAadhaar, Aadhaar letter, Aadhaar card. Order Aadhaar PVC Card - Apply Online

Aadhaar card is necessary to avail benefits of several govt. services, schemes and is one of the most important document now a days. Aadhaar PVC Card comes in a convenient size which enables you to carry it in your wallet like an ATM. One can place order request for Aadhaar PVC Card using registered mobile number as well as using non-registered/alternate mobile number. Process for ordering aadhaar PVC Card by both these processes is described in detail in this article, so read it till the end.

PVC Aadhar Card Apply Online using Registered Mobile Number

  • First of all, visit the UIDAI official website at https://uidai.gov.in/en/ 
  • At the homepage, go to "My Aadhaar" tab and then under 'Get Aadhaar' section, click at "Order Aadhaar PVC Card" link.
  • Then on myAadhaar page, scroll down to reach "Order Aadhaar PVC Card" tab and click it.
  • Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar Number (UID) or 16 digit Virtual Identification Number (VID) or 28 digits Enrollment ID.
  • Enter the security code
  • If you have TOTP, choose option "I have TOTP" by clicking in check box else Click on "Request OTP" button.
  • Enter OTP/TOTP received on registered mobile number.
  • Click on the check box against "Terms and Conditions". (Note: Click on hyper link to see details).
  • Click on "Submit" Button to complete OTP/TOTP verification.
  • On next screen, preview of the Aadhaar details will appear for verification by resident before placing the order for reprint.
  • Click on "Make payment". You will be re-directed to Payment Gateway page with payment options as Credit/Debit Card, Net banking and UPI.
  • After successful payment, receipt will get generated having digital signature which can be downloaded by resident in PDF format. Resident will also get the Service Request Number via SMS.
  • Resident can track the status of SRN till dispatch of Aadhaar Card on Check Aadhaar Card Status.
  • SMS containing AWB number will also be sent once dispatched from DoP. Resident can further track delivery status by visiting DoP website.

Raise Aadhaar PVC Card Request using Non-registered/Alternate mobile number

  • Please visit https://uidai.gov.in or https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/genricPVC
  • Click on “Order Aadhaar Card” Service or mAadhaar application
  • Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar Number (UID) or or 28 digits Enrollment ID.
  • Enter the security code
  • Click on check box "If you do not have a registered mobile number, please check in the box".
  • Please enter Non-Registered / Alternate Mobile Number. Preview will not be available for residents ordering using non-registered mobile number.
  • Rest of the steps for ordering remains the same.

Track Aadhaar PVC Card Order Status

  • First of all, visit the UIDAI official website at https://uidai.gov.in/en/ 
  • At the homepage, go to "My Aadhaar" tab and then under 'Get Aadhaar' section, click at "Order Aadhaar PVC Card" link.
  • Then on myAadhaar page, scroll down to reach "Check Aadhaar PVC Card Order Status" tab and click it.
  • Enter Service Request Number (SRN), captcha and click at "Submit" button.
  • It is worth noting that this page can be used to check the status of new SRNs, starting with 'S' and issued by myaadhaar portal. Status of SRNs with number and originated with older portal are to be checked at https://resident.uidai.gov.in/check-reprint-status

Previously, the Aadhaar card received at our postal address was very bulky and it was difficult to carry it. But now, UIDAI has allowed Aadhaar reprint on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) card so that the Aadhaar card fits into the wallet like an ATM or debit card.

Salient Features of All New Aadhar PVC Card

PVC cards are called polyvinyl chloride cards. A PVC card is a plastic card on which the Aadhaar information is printed. A fee of Rs. 50 is charged for making this card. Here are some of the most important points to be kept in mind while applying online for all new Aadhar PVC Card:-
  • Order Aadhaar card by paying Rs 50/-(inclusive of GST & Speed post charges)
  • Use your Aadhaar Number/Virtual Identification Number/EID to order Aadhaar card.
  • Aadhaar card comes with security features i.e. Digitally signed Secure QR code, Hologram, Ghost image, Guilloche pattern etc.
  • Validation through OTPAadhaar card can be ordered using Registered/Alternate mobile number to receive OTP.
  • Aadhaar preview is available on use of registered mobile only.
  • Time-Based-One-Time-Password (TOTP) can also be used via m-Aadhaar Application.
  • Preview of Aadhaar card details is not available for Non-registered mobile based Order.

Ques - How many days will it take to receive Aadhaar PVC Card after creating successful request?
Ans - After receiving order for Aadhaar Card from the resident UIDAI will handover printed Aadhaar Card to DoP within 5 working days (excluding the date of request). Aadhaar PVC Card is delivered to the residents using SPEED POST Service of India. Resident may track delivery status using DoP Status Track Services on https://www.indiapost.gov.in/_layouts/15/dop.portal.tracking/trackconsignment.aspx

Ques - What if residents want to get the Aadhaar PVC Card printed with the details that they want?
Ans - If residents want some changes in the details of printed Aadhaar letter or PVC Card, then they first have to update their Aadhaar by visiting Permanent Enrollment Center or myAadhaar portal (depending on update) and then raise the request because this facility can be used to get the hard copy of Aadhaar PVC Card/Letter.
