West Bengal government is inviting SC/ST/OBC Certificate online application form 2024 at castcertificatewb.gov.in portal. Even the facility of caste certificate status check is now available online. One can now apply online, check status and download digitally sign certificate through the WB Caste Certificate official website. Read this article till the end to know how to make registration for SC/ST/OBC certificate, download caste certificate and track status.

Caste Certificate Issuance in West Bengal Budget 2024-25

On 8th February 2024, FM presented West Bengal Budget 2024-25. While presenting the Budget, Finance minister said "All Sub-Divisions are now using online facility for issuing caste certificates. During 2023-24 financial year 10,05,933 [SC:6,01,799, ST: 1,97,929 & OBC: 2,06,205 (OBC-A: 99,355, OBC-B: 1,06,850)] Caste Certificates have been issued so far. Since May 2011, 1,60,99,758 Caste Certificates have been issued".

West Bengal SC/ST/OBC Certificate Apply Online 

• First of all, visit the official website of West Bengal Backward Classes Welfare Department at https://castcertificatewb.gov.in/

• At the homepage, scroll over the "Applicant" tab and click at "Apply for SC/ST/OBC" link.

• Upon clicking the link, the WB SC/ST/OBC Certificate Online Application Form 2024 will appear as shown below:-

• Select District, Sub-division and Municipality or Block from the dropdown list as per your residential jurisdiction.
• Next Select SC, ST, or OBC and Caste/Tribe/Community.
• Enter your Name, Father’s Name, Mobile Number, Email ID.
• Next enter either your Epic No. or Aadhar Number or Khadya sathi No.
• Then enter your date of birth, place of birth, address.
• Next select your nationality (INDIAN), religion, gender. 
• Then give information about any relative Paternal side cast certificate holder.? if YES then give details:
• Next enter the details of two (2) local referees including their name as well as address.
• Also fill up Whether the applicant or his family migrated from another State/Country? If you select yes (Please fill up Migration Certificate No, Date of Issue, Country, State, District, Police Station, Village/Ward, Year of Migration).
• After entering all the asked details, click at "Save & Continue" tab.
• Then Page 2 of the WB Caste Certificate application will open (only for OBC type) in which you can enter all asked details accurately and click "Save & Continue" tab.
• Next proceed to filling Page 3. On this page please enter details of your supportive documents like Applicant’s Photograph, Caste identification document, Age proof, Proof of citizenship, proof of local residence, etc. 
• Then click on Submit button and take download autogenerated Application form and Acknowledgement.
  

Note- Uploading of the Photograph of the Applicant is mandatory during the online application for SC/ST/OBC Certificate in West Bengal.
