Karnataka government has launched Anna Suvidha Scheme 2024 for senior citizens. Under this scheme, the state govt. will provide doorstep delivery of food grains to citizens above 80 years of age. Anna Suvidha Scheme in Karnataka Budget 2024-25

On 16th February 2024, Finance Minister presented Karnataka Budget 2024-25. While presenting the budget, FM said "A new social security scheme Anna-Suvidha, a home delivery app for the free delivery of food grains (PDS) to the doorstep of senior citizens above 80 years will be launched". 

Anna-Suvidha Scheme Objectives

Anna Suvidha scheme aims to provide a convenient and accessible means to senior citizens to obtain essential food items without having to visit ration distribution centres. This scheme would address the needs of elderly people with limited mobility, who may face challenges in accessing traditional ration depots.

Through Anna Suvidha Yojana, govt. aims to establish an efficient and transparent system for the distribution of ration, ensuring that the right quantity and quality of essential items reach households in a timely manner. Senior citizens above the age of 80 years can now leverage technology, using home delivery app, for online ordering food grains.

Anna Suvidha Scheme Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of the Karnataka state.
• Applicant must be a senior citizen above the age of 80 years.
• He / she must be eligible for getting ration under state or central govt's ration distribution scheme.

How to Apply Online for Anna Suvidha Yojana

• First of all, open the Anna Suvidha home delivery app.
• After opening app, click at "Order Online" link.
• Upon clicking the link, a page showing food grains will open.
• Order the required food grain and select delivery time.
• After selecting time, click at "Place Order".
• Once order is placed, senior citizens above 80 years will get facility of free home delivery of ration at their doorstep. 

Then on the selected time, delivery partner will reach your address with parcel of your ordered food grains.
