Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana in Delhi Budget 2024-25
Finance Minister presented Delhi Budget 2024-25 on 4 March 2024. While delivering the budget speech, FM said "Speaker Sir, whenever a daughter or sister in our families comes home, her elder brother or father gives her some money because they want their sister or daughter to fulfill her needs without being dependent on anyone. Today, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, fulfilling the duty of being an elder brother, and a son, is bringing the “Mukyamantri Mahila Samman Yojna” in the year 2024-25. Under this scheme, every woman above the age of 18 years will be eligible to receive an honorarium of Rs. 1000 per month. So, whether she is a daughter studying in college needing extra books, a daughter preparing for a Government job needing coaching, or a woman wishing to watch a movie in a cinema hall; now, they won't have to ask for money from anyone for their expenses because their brother Arvind Kejriwal will provide them with Rs. 1000 every month."
FM added "A new revolutionary scheme is being brought. The name of this scheme is 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana'. Under this scheme, every woman above 18 years of age will be given Rs. 1,000 every month".
Kejriwal 1000 Rupees Scheme - How to Apply
For benefiting from Kejriwal 1000 Rupees scheme, any woman who is eligible will have to fill a form
and give a self-declaration that she is not a part of any Government scheme, is
not a Government employee and is not an income tax payer. On the basis of
self-declaration, that woman will start getting the benefits of this scheme. Along
with the form, every woman will have to provide her Aadhar card and bank
account information. For the financial year 2024-25, FM proposed Rs. 2000 crore for
‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana’.
Eligibility Criteria for Delhi Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana
The Kejriwal Government is bringing 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana' for the welfare and empowerment of women from 2024-25. This will be the world's biggest scheme for empowering women. Under this revolutionary scheme, every woman above 18 years of age will get an amount of Rs 1000 per month. The following women will not be eligible for this scheme:
- Who are currently a part of any Government pension scheme, or
- Who are Government employees or
- Who are an income tax payer

In the run up to the assembly elections earlier, Aam Aadmi Party guaranteed to give Rs. 1,000 per month to all women over 18 years of age. Now the Kejriwal 1000 Rupees Scheme has been announced and online apply form would be invited from all ladies soon. Women shall make registration for AAP thousand rupees scheme.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was speaking at a public rally where he mentioned that every women of Delhi state will now be able to apply online for Kejriwal Rs. 1000 Scheme. Any women who wants to get money will have to fill application form for Rs. 1000 scheme. This was the guarantee of Chief minister and now it has been fulfilled.
मुख्यमंत्री महिला सम्मान योजना to Lure Women Voters
In an attempt to garner the support of women in Delhi ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal earlier announced to give Rs. 1,000 per month to all women above the age of 18 years. Now the finance minister has made budgetary provision for the same in the name of Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana. Rs. 1,000 monthly will be given with guarantee to all women above 18 years of age by the AAP government.Earlier, Delhi CM said "As AAP government is present in Delhi, every daughter above 18 years, sister, mother, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, and grandmother will get Rs. 1,000 per month in their accounts. I guarantee it". He further said that he has made this decision very thoughtfully and with full calculation.
Existing Pensions to Continue in Delhi
AAP leader said "Guarantee of anything by Kejriwal is a must done thing and the people of Delhi are witnesses to this. This Rs. 1,000 to be received by each woman will be separate from the monthly old-age pension, widow pension, disability pension or dependency pension which women are already receiving. Similarly, if there are women in a family above 18 years of age including daughter, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law or grandmother; they will all get one thousand rupees each."CM Arvind Kejriwal further added that this time women have voted for the right party and given AAP party a chance. All the pre poll promises would be fulfilled soon.
