Anaaj Kharid Portal in Punjab Budget 2024-25

On 5th March 2024, Finance Minister presented Punjab Budget 2024-25. While delivering the budget speech, FM said "Promoting good governance in the food sector is our Government’s priority. In order to bring transparency in allotments and optimize expenditure, AAP Government has initiated online linking of mandis with Rice Mills. Integration of Anaaj-Kharid portal has been done with PSPCL portal for monitoring power consumption of rice mills to match with the production of rice, and to curb bogus purchases and recycling of PDS rice. An allocation of ₹1,072 crore is proposed in FY 2024-25 for undertaking various initiatives in the department".

FM added "Further, installation of Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) in vehicles transporting wheat and paddy/rice has been made mandatory and all gate passes for lifting of wheat/paddy from mandis to storage points/mills are being generated online through the Anaaj Kharid Portal".

The Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs is continuously working to improve Public Distribution System, procurement process of food grains and their storage. It includes allotment of mills, their registration, application of release order and deposit of fee, besides all important monitoring of stocks. • Registration of Aarthiya will be done from E-Mandikaran Portal.
• Aarthiya Login Id & Password in Anaaj Kharid Portal will be the same which is used in E-MandiKaran Portal for Login.
