• Hit the "Click Here to Apply" link in front of selected brand name, next apply online page for new LPG gas connection will open. Enter details correctly to complete PM Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 online registration process. 

Eligibility Criteria for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0

The eligibility criteria to get a new connection under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 is given here:-

• Adult woman belonging to any of the following categories.
• SC Households
• ST Households
• Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin)
• Most Backward Classes
• Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY)
• Tea and Ex- Tea Garden tribes
• Forest Dwellers
• People residing in Islands and River Islands
• SECC Households (AHL TIN)
• Poor Household as per 14-point declaration
• Applicant must have attained 18 years of age.
• There should not be any other LPG connections in the same household.

PMUY 2.0 Documents List

List of documents required to apply for new connection under PM Ujjwala Yojana 2.0:-

• Know Your Customer (KYC) - Ujjwala KYC Form
• Ration Card issued by the State from which application is being made/ other State Govt. document certifying family composition/ Self-Declaration as per Annexure I (for migrant applicants)
• Aadhaar of beneficiary and adult family members appearing in document at Sl. 2
• Proof of Address - Aadhaar will be taken as Proof of Identity and Proof of Address if the connection is required in the same address. In that case only Aadhaar is sufficient.
• Bank Account Number and IFSC

How To Apply Offline For PM Ujjwala Yojana 2024

Here is the complete process on how to apply for PM Ujjwala Yojana 2024:-

• A woman of the BPL household, may apply for a new LPG connection (in the prescribed format) to the nearest LPG distributor.
• While submitting the application form, the woman needs to submit detailed address, Jandhan Bank Account and Aadhar number of all members of the household.
• The connection will be issued by the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to the eligible beneficiaries after processing the application.
• In case the consumer opts for EMI, the EMI amount will be adjusted against the subsidy amount due to the consumer on each refill.

PM Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 - PMUY Second Phase Launch

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 on 10 August 2021. Central govt. started PMUY Second Phase to provide free LPG gas cylinders and refill to poor people.

PM Ujjwala Yojana 1.0 Launch Date

PM Narendra Modi was launched Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana on 1st May 2016 in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The target of 1st phase of PMUY scheme was 8 crore poor people which has already been achieved. Till 13 April 2024, more than 10.32 crore LPG gas connections had already been provided to BPL families with support of Rs. 1600 per connection.
