Formal Launch of Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana 2024
Maharashtra government has formally launched Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana on 17th August 2024. This new initiative is focused on providing financial aid to women across the state. This key program is set to offer a monthly stipend of Rs. 1,500 to over one crore women. This ladli behna scheme is specifically designed to bolster the financial security and autonomy of women in Maharashtra.
Under this scheme, eligible women, who are permanent residents of the state, aged between 21 and 65 years, and from households with an annual income below Rs 2.5 lakh, will receive Rs. 1,500 each month. This initiative is part of a larger effort to enhance the economic stability and self-reliance of women throughout the state.

Addressing the media, CM Shinde said, "I only want to say that we will not only give them Rs. 1,500, we will make them independent, we will make them self-reliant.
