Bangla Sahayata Kendra Scheme in West Bengal Budget 2024-25
On 8th February 2024, FM presented West Bengal Budget 2024-25. While presenting the Budget, Finance minister said "Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department besides service matters of the State Government employees looks after e-governance initiatives of the State Government and Bangla Sahayata Kendra Scheme which provides facilitation for speedy access to various Government Services and entitlements".FM added "3,561 Bangla Sahayata Kendras (BSKs) are providing
283 online Government Services related to 40 State
Government Departments completely free of cost across
the State. About 12 crore services have so far been delivered
to more than 6.50 crore people. e-wallet transactions of
major utility bill payments such as electricity bill, stamp
duty registration bill, land mutation bills worth Rs. 228 crore
have so far been completed successfully through BSKs.
Setting up another 1,461 BSKs is under active
consideration of the Government".
Presently, 268 public services (195 transaction services & 73 information services) of 38 Departments exist in BSK's service basket. The Personnel & Administrative Reforms and e-Governance Department of the Government of West Bengal is the Nodal Department coordinating BSK project. There is a Project Management Unit (PMU) at the State level looking after day-to-day functioning of BSKs.
All the notified services of BSKs are provided through its online portal https://bsk.wb.gov.in The services provided through BSKs are completely free of cost. The citizen does not have to pay any service charge to get the service.

About Bangla Sahayata Kendra's (BSK) in West Bengal
