27 फ़रवरी 2024 को वित्त मंत्री ने उत्तराखंड बजट 2024-25 पेश किया। अपने बजट भाषण में वित्त मंत्री ने बताया की "मुख्यमंत्री महालक्ष्मी योजनान्तर्गत वित्तीय वर्ष 2024-25 में लगभग रू० तीस करोड़ (रू0 30.00 करोड़) की धनराशि का प्रावधान किया जा रहा है।"

Eligibility Criteria for CM Maha Lakshmi Scheme

• Candidate must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand state.
• She must be pregnant women.
• Pregnant ladies above 18 years of age shall be eligible.
• Family and dependents of all government employees paying Income Tax would not be covered under the project.

What is Uttarakhand मुख्यमंत्री महालक्ष्मी योजना

Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana for pregnant / lactating mothers and the newborn girl child was launched by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on 17 July 2021. Maha Lakshmi Scheme was firstly started by former CM Trivendra Rawat in the name of Soubhagyawati Yojana. Then his successor, Tirath Singh Rawat changed the name of the scheme to Mahalakshmi Yojana which is now continuing in the same name in CM Pushkar Singh Dhami led BJP government.  

Mukhyamantri Maha Laxmi Kits to Mother / Newborn Girl Child

Under Mahalaxmi Yojana, pregnant mothers and newborns would be provided with clothes and other accessories by the women and child welfare department. Around 16,929 women have been initially identified to benefit across the state as part of Maha Laxmi Scheme. The Mukhyamantri Mahalakshmi Kit is being provided to the mother and the newborn girl child on the birth of the first two girls or twin girls. CM Maha Lakshmi scheme is inspired by the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

For mothers, the kit has dry fruits, two pair of socks, one scarf, two towels, one blanket or sheet, two cotton bedsheets, two packets of sanitary napkins, nail cutter, four bathing soaps, four detergent soaps and 500ml mustard oil. 

Items in Pregnant Women Kits under Mahalakshmi Yojana

Women and Child Welfare Department has designed this Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana and would be responsible for its successful implementation. For welfare of pregnant women, kits would be provided and the items in the pregnant ladies kits would be:-

• 250 बादाम गिरी/सुखी खुमानी/अखरोट
• दो कॉटन गाउन/साड़ी/सूट
• एक शॉल गर्म फुल साईज
• 500 ग्राम छुआरा
• एक स्कॉर्फ कॉटन/गर्म स्टैंडर्ड साइज
• दो जोड़े जुराब स्टैंडर्ड साइज
• एक तौलिया बड़े साइज का
• दो पैकेट सैनिटरी नैपकिन (आठ प्रति पैकेट)
• दो जोड़े बेड शीट (तकिये के कवर सहित)
• एक नेल कटर
• 200 एम.एल हैण्डवाश लिक्विड
• दो नहाने का साबुन
• दो कपड़े धोने का साबुन
• एक नारियल/तिल/सरसों/चुलू का तेल

Items in Newborn / Infant Kits under Mahalaxmi Yojana

In the kits for newborn children for Mahalaxmi Yojana, following items would be there:-

• मौसम के अनुसार सूती या गर्म दो जोड़े शिशु के कपड़े, टोपी और जुराब सहित
• एक पैकेट (10 पीस) कॉटन डाइपर
• एक तेल
• एक बेबी तौलिया कॉटन सॉफ्ट
• एक पाउडर
• एक रबर शीट
• तीन बेबी साबुन
• दो बेबी ब्लैंककेट गर्म अथवा कॉटन (मौसम अनुसार)
• एक समस्त सामग्री पैक करने के लिए सूती बैग शामिल रहेगा

After getting Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Kits, it would be the responsibility of the mothers to utilize these items for themselves and their kids. It would ensure that both the pregnant women and newborn children stay healthy and hygienic. Health is the most important aspect if a state wants to grow fast as kids are the future of the state.

Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana in Uttarakhand Budget 2023-24

The honourable Finance Minister had presented Uttarakhand Budget 2023-24 on 15 March 2023. While presenting the UK Budget 2023-24, FM said "मुख्यमंत्री महालक्ष्मी योजना में प्रसव उपरान्त माता एवं कन्या शिशु को देखभाल एवं पोषण को प्रोत्साहित करने के उद्देश्य से आवश्यक सामग्री युक्त किट उपलब्ध करवायी जाती है। वित्तीय वर्ष 2023-24 में योजना हेतु रू. उन्नीस करोड़ पंचानबे लाख (रू. 19.95 करोड़) की धनराशि का प्रावधान किया गया है।"
