Ayushman Asom Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in Assam Budget 2024-25
On 12th February 2024, Finance Minister presented Assam Budget 2024-25. While presenting the budget, FM said "Ayushman Asom is transforming medical access for about 2 crore beneficiaries in our State. In 2023, expanding coverage, we introduced the new health Insurance scheme Mukhya Mantri Ayushman Assam Yojana (AA-MMJAY), combining forces with Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), to empower 58 lakh families with cashless treatment worth Rs. 5 lakh per family per year. So far, over 4 lakh individuals benefited from cashless treatment benefitting worth Rs. 588 crore under the two schemes. We shall continue this critical health support programme in this current year and hope to expand to cover more beneficiaries also.
FM even mentioned "In addition, as announced earlier, we have introduced Ayushman Asom - Mukhya Mantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana (AA-MMLSAY) for a hassle-free online medical reimbursement service to government employees, their dependents, pensioners and their spouses".

Ayushman Asom Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Features & Benefits
- AA-MMJAY is a family floater health assusrance scheme.
- The scheme provides cashless medical benefit upto Rs. 5 Lacs per family per year in empanelled hospitals.
- The scheme has 1949 medical procedured covering 27 specialities.
- Under the scheme, left out National Food Security families over and above 30 lakh AB-PMJAY families are included.
- Approximately 28 lakh families to be under Assam Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
- Thus over 58 lakh families are included under AA-MMJAY scheme.
- Total 323 hospitals are empanelled under the scheme of Ayushman Asom-Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
- Around 1949 procedures covering under 27 specialities are available under AA-MMJAY.
- e-KYC campaign of AA-MMJAY are ongoing across all districts of Assam.
- Government frontline workers like ASHA workers, MPWs, Bima Sakhis, Digipay Sakhis are authorised to conduct house to house and camp mode e-KYC in the districts of Assam.
Ayushman Asom Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of the Assam state.
- Applicant must be belong to a poor family.
- To avail free treatment, applicant must get admitted (on advise of doctor) in the govt. hospital or empanelled private hospital.
- Each beneficiary is entitled to cashless treatment upto Rs. 5 lakh only.

Ayushman Assam Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Apply Online
Just like health insurance schemes of other states, the Assam state govt. may invite Ayushman Asom Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana application form. These online forms may be invited at the official website of the Assam state govt. or a new dedicated website. Till date, there is no information regarding AA-MMJAY apply online process as the official notification is not out yet.
