Bihar government has launched Mukhyamantri Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana 2024 to provide marriage assistance to beneficiaries. It is an umbrella scheme having 2 components - first is Bihar Antarjatiya Vivah Protsahan Yojana and second is Bihar Nishaktjan Vivah Protsahan Yojana. Under both these components, there is a provision of providing Rs. 1 lakh assistance to encourage inter caste marriages as well as marriage of persons with disabilities. मुख्यमंत्री विवाह प्रोत्साहन अनुदान योजना in Bihar Budget 2024-25

13 फ़रवरी को वित्त मंत्री ने Bihar Budget 2024-25 पेश किया जिसमे उन्होंने कहा की "इस योजना के तहत निःशक्तजन विवाह प्रोत्साहन योजना तथा अन्तर्जातीय विवाह योजना सन्निहित है। इसके तहत 1,00,000 रुपये अनुदान के रूप में देने का प्रावधान है। वर्ष 2023-24 में निःशक्तजन विवाह प्रोत्साहन अनुदान योजना के तहत अबतक 327 लाभुकों को भुगतान किया गया है तथा अन्तर्जातीय विवाह प्रोत्साहन योजना के तहत 500 लाभुकों को भुगतान किया गया है।"

Mukhyamantri Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana Benefits & Features 

• Bihar govt. has launched Mukhyamantri Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana to promote intercaste marriages as well as marriages of disabled.
• Mukhyamantri Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana is a combination of 2 schemes namely Mukhyamantri Antarjatiya Vivah Protsahan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Nishaktjan Vivah Protsahan Yojana.
• Under this umbrella scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 1,00,000 would be provided.
• Social Welfare department of Bihar would implement the scheme.
• Marriage must be registered with the concerned authorities.
• Age of the bride must be atleast 18 years while that of groom must be atleast 21 years.
• Assistance amount would be transferred directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiary through DBT mode.
• For the first 3 years, the 1 lakh assistance amount would remain as fixed deposit in the beneficiary's account.

• Upon clicking the link, the Bihar Mukhyamantri Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana online registration form will appear as shown below:-

• Fill in all the required details like name, district, mobile number, aadhar no, password and click "Register" tab.
• After registration is done, make MVPAY Login and complete the remaining application form before final submit.
• Once submitted, the concerned authorities will sanction your application and then follow the apply process as specified here.

• Finally, each beneficiary will receive financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh which will be deposited as FD for first 3 years in their bank accounts.

Eligibility Criteria for Bihar Mukhyamantri Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana

• Mukhyamantri Antarjatiya Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana Eligibility:-
• Applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar state.
• Age of the bride must be atleast 18 years and age of groom must be atleast 21 years.
• Any one of bride or groom must be from Scheduled caste (SC) category. To certify this, caste certificate is required.
• Marriage should be registered under Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
• In case the marriage is registered under any other act, then an affidavit must be submitted. 
• This scheme is applicable for 1st marriage of both bride and groom.
• Application to get benefit under Mukhyamantri Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana must be filed within 1 year duration.
• Mukhyamantri Nishaktjan Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana Eligibility:-
• Applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar state.
• Age of the bride must be atleast 18 years and age of groom must be atleast 21 years.
• Any one of bride or groom must be disabled. To certify this, disability ceritificate is required. 
• Marriage must be registered with the concerned authorities.
• This scheme is applicable for 1st marriage of both bride and groom.
• Application to get benefit under Mukhyamantri Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana must be filed within 1 year duration.
