Tamil Nadu government is inviting NEEDS scheme 2024 online application / registration form at msmeonline.tn.gov.in. NEEDS full form is New Entrepreneur cum Enterprise Development Scheme. TN Needs scheme aims to promote first entrepreneurial projects of first generation entrepreneurs. NEEDS Scheme in Tamil Nadu Budget 2024-25

On 19th Feb 2024, Finance Minister presented Tamil Nadu Budget 2024-25. While delivering the budget, FM said "In the Budget Estimates 2024-25, an allocation of Rs.101 crore has been earmarked to provide subsidy assistance under the New Entrepreneur cum Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS). Further, steps are being taken to onboard majority of the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to participate on the Trade Receivables Electronic Discounting System (TReDS) platform to ensure timely settlement of dues to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)". 

Needs Scheme 2024 Online Registration Form 

• First of all, go to the official website https://msmeonline.tn.gov.in/

• At the homepage, click at the "Login/Registration" link present in the main menu or directly click https://msmeonline.tn.gov.in/registration.php

• Existing users can make MSME entrepreneur login (for filling AABCS, NEEDS, UYEGP, Capital Subsidy & other incentives) by entering email/mobile number, password and clicking at "Login" button.
• However, new users can make Needs Scheme online registration by clicking at "Register" link.

• Enter name, date of birth, aadhar number, mobile number, email id, create password and click at "Register" button to complete Needs Scheme online registration process.

How to Fill Needs Scheme Online Application Form

• Go to link https://msmeonline.tn.gov.in/needs/index.php
• Here you can go to "Apply Online" tab and click at "New Application" link.

• You must be registered at msmeonline.tn.gov.in portal and must be able to login.
• Then Needs Scheme online application form will open.
• Fill in the asked details in the Needs scheme form as per the guidelines - https://msmeonline.tn.gov.in/needs/pdf/guideline_tofill_application.pdf to apply online for Needs scheme.

Upload Documents for Needs Scheme

• Go to link https://msmeonline.tn.gov.in/needs/index.php
• Here you can go to "Apply Online" tab and click at "Upload Documents" link.
• Then page to upload documents for TN Needs scheme will open.

• Here enter application ID and click at "Submit" button to open page to upload documents for Needs scheme in Tamilnadu state.

Download Filled Application for Needs Scheme

• Go to link https://msmeonline.tn.gov.in/needs/index.php
• Here you can go to "Apply Online" tab and click at "Download Filed Application" link.
• Then page to download filed application for TN Needs scheme will open.

• Enter phone number and click "Submit" button to download TN Needs scheme filled application.

Track Needs Scheme Status

• Once Needs registration process is complete and you are ready to login, then go to link https://msmeonline.tn.gov.in/needs/index.php
• Here you can go to "Track Your Status" tab.
• Then Needs Scheme status tracking page will open.

• Fill in the application / phone number and click at "Submit" button to track Needs scheme status checking page.

About Tamilnadu Needs Scheme 2024

Under Needs scheme, the educated youth will be given entrepreneur training, assisted to prepare their business plans and helped to tie up with financial institutions so as to set up new Manufacturing and Service ventures. The beneficiary must be a First Generation Entrepreneur. The scheme details are as follows - Project cost above Rs. 10 lakhs and not exceeding Rs. 5 crore. Entrepreneur has to meet the cost of land, Rented/Leased Building, Technical Knowhow, Preliminary & Preoperative expenses.

TN Needs Scheme Benefits & Features

• Specially devised and specifically implemented for promoting first entrepreneurial projects of first generation entrepreneurs
• Aspirants must be of age between 21-45 in general and for special (Women/BC/MBC/SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Transgenders/Differently abled), age relaxation upto 55 years
• Higher Secondary (+2 Passed)/Degree / Diploma / ITI / Vocational Training
• Manufacturing or Service projects with Project cost from Rs. 10 lakhs upto Rs. 5 crore
• Promoter’s contribution 10% for General and 5% for Special Category
• Loan assistance from TIIC / Commercial Banks / TAICO Banks
• Individual Based Capital Subsidy @ 25% of the Project cost (Maximum Rs. 75.00 lakhs)
• 3% Interest subvention through-out the entire repayment period
