Sikkim government is implementing Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana 2024 for providing employment to people of the state. Under One Family One Job Scheme, one member from each household will get government job. This scheme was initially launched by the hon'ble Chief Minister, Pawan Kumar Chamling, on 12th January 2019. Sikkim One Family One Job Scheme Announcement

Announcement regarding Sikkim One Family One Job Scheme was made by the Chief Minister himself. He was attending a Rojgar Mela (job fair) event organized at the Paljor Stadium in Gangtok when he announced the scheme. The main objective of Sikkim Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana is to give employment opportunities to the unemployed youth of the state.

At the time of the announcement, the Chief Minister handed over appointment letters to about 12,000 unemployed youths. Moreover, he also stated that the Sikkim government will be recruiting candidates for 26 different posts. These vacancies will include maali (gardener), chowkidar (security guard), ward attendants for hospitals and other medical facilities, assistant village librarians, village police guards, and many more.

At present Sikkim is the only state in the country providing the highest salary to government employees in the state. It earmarks 70% of its total revenues towards salaries for state government employees. Moreover, Sikkim has now become the first state in the country to announce such a program for the benefit of its residents.

Sikkim Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana Eligibility Criteria

Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana aims to provide govt. jobs to such families whose no member is currently enrolled as a government job. One Job One Family scheme will ensure that each household in Sikkim has atleast 1 member serving for the state, which would reduce unemployment. 

Even those families whose members have not got an opportunity in the past to work in the government sector would be benefited. Permanent residents of the state who have completed 10th/ ITI/ diploma/ 12th/ Graduation/ Post Graduation can get government job under Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana. The primary condition to avail benefit is that no member of families must be working in the government job. 

Major Exclusions from One Family One Job Scheme in Sikkim

  • Families with at least one family member, working at any government post will not be eligible.
  • Applicants below 18 years of age will not be eligible for the scheme.

Fraud Websites Inviting One Family One Job Scheme Application

Some websites are claiming that just like Sikkim Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana, central govt. is also running the scheme which is not true. The union govt. of India is NOT running Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana at the pan India level. Some websites like epesny.nic.in are claiming to invite scheme's registration form which is a fraud link and is not currently working. 

You should NOT fall prey to such claims and NOT believe videos being uploaded at the youtube to fill application for Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana. These videos/websites are dubious as the central govt. is not running any such scheme at the national level. As per the Fact Check Report, it is quite clear that Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana is only running in Sikkim state and central govt. is not even planning to extend this scheme at PAN India level.  

It is worth noting that one must not pay any fees to get govt. job under One Family One Job Scheme in Sikkim. Those who are asking for any scheme joining fees must be considered as fraud. In a nutshell, we can say that there is no such pan India scheme offering one job to every family. Ek Parivar Ek Naukri is a noble initiative of only Sikkim state government to tackle unemployment.
