Finance Minister of Maharashtra, Sh. Ajit Pawar, has announced CM Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana on 28 June 2024. Under this scheme, the state govt. will provide monthly stipend worth Rs. 10,000 every month to interns. This stipend scheme directed towards unemployed youth shall serve as a measure for their economic empowerment. The state govt. will spend Rs. 5500 crore on Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana internship scheme for unemployed youth. The internships will last six months, and the stipend will be received via direct bank transfer.

About CM Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana 2024-25

CM Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana aims to provide financial support for youths undergoing apprenticeship programs to learn trades and skills. While delivering the Maharashtra Budget Speech 2024-25, Finance Minister said "For unemployed youth, the CM Yuva Karya Prashikshan Scheme offers a monthly stipend of Rs 10,000 to 10 lakh interns".

Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra.
  • Only those candidates whose age is between 18 to 35 years are eligible.
  • Unemployed youths who become interns will get monthly stipend of Rs. 10,000.
  • Only youths who are willing to join immediately shall apply for CM Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojna.
  • The eligibility criteria for industry and non-industry establishments include working in Maharashtra, being registered with the Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation web portal as an employer, being established for three years, being registered with EPF, ESIC, GST, DPIT, and Udyog Aadhaar, and having a certificate of incorporation.

Maharashtra CM Yuva Karya Prashikshan Scheme Amount

Every unemployed youth can enroll for CM Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojna in Maharashtra to become intern. Accordingly, these interns will get work as well as Rs. 10,000 per month as stipend. In this manner, menace of unemployment can be tackled across the state. This initiative has been announced by the hon'ble finance minister Ajit Pawar on 28 June 2024 (Friday) while delivering the Maharashtra Budget Speech 2024-2025. The following stipend amount would be given to unemployed youth:-
  • 12th Pass - Rs. 6,000 per month
  • ITI and Diploma - Rs. 8,000 per month
  • Degree and Postgraduation - Rs. 10,000 per month
This ground-breaking initiative acknowledges the vital role that youths play in the progress of society. It aims to raise and support them financially while also providing security. The Shiv Sena (Shinde) and BJP party wants youth to feel more independent and self-sufficient. Giving stipend to youths will minimise socio-economic disparity at the same time.
