APPTD employees union thanked chief minister Chandrababu Naidu for releasing the funds and appreciated RTC MD Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao for ensuring timely reimbursement. The union urged the MD to secure monthly reimbursements to sustain the scheme.
Meanwhile, EU state president Palisetti Damodara Rao demanded the government procure 3,000 new buses and fill 10,000 posts in RTC to ensure the scheme's long-term success.

AP Stree Shakti Scheme Status 2025
On 13th November 2025, a govt order (GO RT No. 593) has been issued for the release of Rs. 400 crore additional funds under AP Stree Shakti Scheme. This govt. order has been issued by the special chief secretary (transport, roads and buildings) MT Krishna Babu.

Govt Order for AP Stree Shakti Scheme
The govt. order (GO) stated: "Administrative sanction is accorded for an amount of Rs. 400 crore as additional funds for reimbursing expenditure under Stree Shakti Scheme for the period from August 15th to October 2025."AP Stree Shakti Scheme Implementation
The TDP-led NDA govt rolled out the free bus travel scheme for women under AP Stree Shakti on August 15, 2025. Implemented across five types of RTC buses, the scheme has been a big success, with occupancy ratios crossing 90% since its launch.
