Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana in Punjab Budget 2023-24
Finance minister has presented Punjab Budget 2023-24 on 10 March 2023. While delivering PB Budget Speech 2023-24, FM said "Our Government has also decided to launch a new risk mitigation scheme i.e. 'Bhaav Antar Bhugtan Yojna' for horticulture producers. Government would intervene to ensure right remuneration to horticulture producers whenever market prices would fluctuate beyond a certain level. I propose an initial allocation of Rs. 15 crore for this purpose in FY 2023-24. Further a new scheme for diversification through flower Seed production would also be operationalized in the upcoming financial year".The objective of the Punjab Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana is to provide the compensation to farmers for horticulture products whenever its price fall below the announced Minimum support price (MSP) and thereby protecting them from losses suffered on account of distress sale.
Benefits of Bhav Antar Bhugtan Yojana in Punjab
- The benefits of Bhav Antar Bhugtan Yojana would be provided to horticulture farmers of Punjab state.
- If on selling crops in Mandis, farmers gets any amount less than MSP of that crop, then price difference would be paid to farmers under Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana.
- Farmers will get financial assistance which would enable them to grow crops in the next cropping season.
- Compensation would be given to farmers for horticulture products whenever its price fall below the announced Minimum support price (MSP), it would help in increasing income of farmers.
- BBY scheme would protect horticultural farmers from losses suffered on account of distress sale.

- Passport size photographs (recent)
- He / She must be doing horticulture farming (sowing horticultural crops)
