Mukhyamantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana in HP Budget 2024-25

On 17 February 2024, Finance Minister presented Himachal Pradesh Budget 2024-25. While presenting the budget, FM said "I announce to increase the assistance from Rs. 1.5 lakh being given for constructing a house to the beneficiaries under the 'Mukhya Mantri Widhwa Evam Ekal Naari Aawas Yojana' to Rs.3 lakh. This assistance will be available to such beneficiaries whose annual income is less than Rs. 2.5 lakh".

About मुख्यमंत्री विधवा एवं एकल नारी आवास योजना 2024 

Mukhyamantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojna is a state government scheme to provide financial assistance to eligible widows and single women for the construction of houses. In this scheme, a sum of Rs 1.5 lakh would be provided as financial assistance. About 7,000 women with an annual income of less than Rs. 2 lakh per annum would be given aid during the current financial year. 

Apart from providing financial aid, essential amenities like electricity and water for the newly constructed houses would also be provided. During a recent cabinet meeting, an in-principle approval was given to the मुख्यमंत्री विधवा एवं एकल नारी आवास योजना. CM said "the government has been working on formulating modalities in order to provide assistance to the beneficiaries".

Mukhya Mantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana was announced during the budget session. The Women and Child Development Department is finalising the modalities of the scheme. Chief Minister said this initiative of the state government will provide much-needed support to these women who often face difficulties in building houses due to financial constraints.

Quality of Houses in Mukhya Mantri Vidhwa Evan Ekal Nari Awas Yojana 

Houses constructed under Mukhyamantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana will be equipped with basic facilities such as electricity, water, and other necessary amenities. It would ensure that the women have access to essential resources. The government's efforts to address the housing needs of these vulnerable groups would go a long way in promoting inclusive and sustainable development in the state, CM said.

The welfare of the underprivileged section of society is the focus area of the present state government and many initiatives were introduced in the state's budget for the year 2023-2024. Reforms to improve the living standards of weaker sections of society are underway and results would be visible in the times to come, CM mentioned.
  

Mukhyamantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana in HP Budget 2023-24

Finance minister presented HP budget on 17 March 2023 in which he announced to start a new scheme "Mukhya Mantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana" with the financial assistance of Rs.1.5 lakh for construction of houses for eligible widows and single women. 

Around 7,000 women will be given assistance for constructing houses under the scheme in 2023-24. Electricity, water and other facilities will be provided in the houses built under Mukhyamantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana.
