What is Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana (AVYAY) 2024
The main objective of the Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana (AVYAY Scheme) is to improve the quality of life of the senior citizens by providing basic amenities like shelter, food, medical care and entertainment opportunities. In addition to this, central govt. will encourage productive and active ageing by providing support for capacity building of State / UT Governments / Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) / Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) / local bodies and the community at large.
Assistance under AVYAY Scheme
Assistance under the scheme will be given to the Implementing Agencies such as State/ UT Governments /Panchayati Raj Institutions / local bodies and eligible Non-Governmental/Voluntary Organizations etc., for the following purposes:-- Programmes catering to the basic needs of Senior Citizens particularly food, shelter and health care to the destitute elderly;
- Programmes to build and strengthen intergenerational relationships particularly between children / youth and Senior Citizens, through Regional Resource and Training Centres (RRTCs);
- Programmes for encouraging Active and Productive Ageing, through RRTCs;
- Programmes for proving Institutional as well as Non-Institutional Care/ Services to Senior Citizens;
- Research, Advocacy and Awareness building programmes in the field of Ageing through RRTCs; and
- Any other programmes in the best interest of Senior Citizens.
AVYAY scheme was earlier known as National Action Plan for Senior Citizens (NAPSrC).

How to Apply Online for Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana
To apply online under the Integrated Programme for Older Persons, please follow the process here:-- First of all, go to the official e-Anudaan portal https://grants-msje.gov.in/ngo-login
- All the registered NGO's can make login in the "Registered NGO Login" section present on the right side of the page.
- However, NGO's which are not registered will have to first make registration.
- They can go to "Register" tab and click at "Register Your NGO" link.
- Then read the instructions (as mentioned below) and click at "Proceed" button.
- Next Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana online registration form will open.
- At this page, kindly furnish Unique ID obtained from NGO-DARPAN Portal (ngodarpan.gov.in) correctly along with PAN number of organization to register yourself on NGO portal of MoSJE.
- After registration at online NGO portal of MoSJE, make login at the e-anudaan official website homepage as mentioned in 2nd step of this process.

Instructions for NGO Registration at e-Anudaan Portal
- Prior to Registration on portal e-ANUDAAN of the MoSJE http://grants-msje.gov.in , it is mandatory for every NGO to register first at NGO-DARPAN portal of NITI Aayog https://ngodarpan.gov.in and to get NGO Unique ID.
- During registration, NGO have to submit NGO Unique ID and PAN of the organisation. Common registration details of organisation available on NGO-Darpan will automatically be auto-filled in non-editing mode. A few details like Username/ Password and scheme etc. are required to be submitted by NGO. Take care of all input fields marked with * which are mandatory to fill and follow the instructions.
- Registration on this portal needs to be done only once. The NGO(s) who had registered earlier on this portal need not to register again. NGO(s) who have registered multiple times and are having multiple login/userid accounts, will be shown all login accounts. NGO would select only one login/user id account to keep it active in future. All other login/user id account(s) will be deactivated however would remain available for uploading the deficient documents.
- For updating any NGO registration details at e-Anudaan, it is to be updated first at NGO Darpan. Update Profile option in NGO ’s login at e-Anudaan would enable NGO to update the profile details.
About e-Anudaan Online Portal for Grant-in-Aid Schemes
The e-Anudaan portal (https://grants-msje.gov.in/ngo-login) facilitates online submission of NGO’s proposals alongwith the prescribed documents and automates the complete process for issuance of Grant-in-Aid. Various Back office user have privilege for application processing as per the role defined at District, State Directorate, State Secretariat and at the Central Ministry. The process involves the application verification, checklist filling, inspection report, scrutinizing, screening, recommendation, financial approval and GIA sanction.Portal is open for seeking applications for AVYAY/IPSrC/IPOP.
