Namo Drone Didi Yojana 2024 - How to Apply Online

PM Narendra Modi launches Namo Drone Didi Yojana 2024 under its flagship Lakhpati Didi initiative. It will provide drones to women Self Help Groups (SHGs) so that this technology can be used by them for livelihood assistance. About Namo Drone Didi Yojana 2024

Indian government is running many welfare schemes to benefit farmers across the country. In order to increase the participation of women in agriculture sector, PM Modi on 30 November has started Namo Drone Didi Yojana. While launching the Drone Didi scheme, he talked to the beneficiaries of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and inaugurated first ever PM Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra. Under Drone Didi Yojana, central government will provide 15,000 drone to women self help groups with an outlay of Rs. 1261 crore. 

Prime Minister said that govt. is understanding the needs of the people and is giving them their socio-economic rights. Drone Didi Yojana is a next step forward to make women self reliant (atmanirbhar) through SHGs. This scheme will provide additional employment opportunities to women in agriculture sector. Moreover, farmers will get access to latest drone technology at minimal prices. 

Namo Drone Didi Yojana is expected to save time and minimize use of fertilizers like urea which would result in better crop production. 

Announcement of Drone Didi Yojana by PM Narendra Modi

PM Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on 15 August 2023 in which he said "Right from the Banks to the Anganvadis, there exists no platform in which the women have not been contributing. Now, my dream is to make 2 crore lakhpati didi (sisters) in the villages. For this, we have decided to launch a new scheme in which 15,000 women SHGs will be imparted training to operate and repair the drones! It will empower the rural women and will strengthen the Agri-Tech sector of the country!"

PM Modi announced to make 2 crore Lakhpati Didi's across the country. The Cabinet led by PM Narendra Modi Ji has sanctioned groundbreaking "Lakhpati Didi scheme", allocating Rs. 1261 Cr, to empower Women Self Help Groups with drones. This visionary move emphasizes the PM's commitment to women's empowerment and tech advancement in agriculture.

Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi now launches "Namo Drone Didi Program" on 30 November 2023 for women engaged in Self Help Groups and Agriculture, in dedication to all women. Introduction of such innovative and competent technology in agriculture sector will not only empower this sector but will have positive impact on other sectors as well.

Impact of Drone Didi Yojana

In Drone Didi Yojana, women will get 15000 drones which would result in their empowerment. Such women will get employment opportunity which would make them self reliant. Also, use of drones would increase in farming which will lead to a boost in agriculture sector. 

Agriculture Minister said "स्वयं सहायता समूहों से जुड़ी बहनों की क्षमता बढ़ाने और आजीविका बेहतर करने के लिए ड्रोन दीदी कार्यक्रम की कल्पना बेहद शानदार है. उन्होंने कहा कि यूरिया, डीएपी और पेस्टीसाइड का जब खेतों में छिड़काव होता है तो शरीर पर इसका प्रभाव पड़ता है. इसके अलवा इस दौरान कहीं ज्यादा तो कहीं कम छिड़काव जैसा असंतुलन भी रहता है. मगर जब ड्रोन का इस्तेमाल बढ़ेगा तो शरीर पर दुष्प्रभाव कम होगा और उर्वरक की खपत भी कम हो जाएगी".

Women are expected to earn Rs. 1 lakh income every month through Namo Drone Didi Yojana.

How to Apply Online for Drone Didi Yojana

To get drones, women will have to get themselves registered for Namo Drone Didi Yojana. The central govt. may invite Drone Didi Yojna online application form at a new dedicated portal (to be launched soon). As soon as the Drone Didi scheme apply online process begins, we will update it here.
