TS Cheyutha Scheme in Telangana Budget 2024-25

On 10th February 2024, Finance Minister presented Telangana Budget 2024-25. While presenting the budget, FM said "Two important promises of our government are, supply of LPG cylinder @ Rs. 500/- and under Gruha Jyothi scheme, 200 units of free electricity per month to all eligible consumers. The Council of Ministers in its meeting on 4th February, 2024 has approved implementation of both these schemes. Very soon, the modalities for implementation will be finalised and schemes will be rolled out. Further, our government is committed to implement Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma houses, Cheyutha and Yuva Vikasam. We are committed to implement them at the earliest".

FM added that "In this budget, we have proposed Rs.53,196 crores, for implementation of these schemes. Provision of additional funds will be made as required, once a complete assessment is made about the schemes".

About Telangana Cheyutha Scheme 2024

Rahul Gandhi made the announcement to start the Telangana Cheyutha Scheme while releasing their election manifesto (Abhaya Hastham) on September 18, 2023. Under this plan, the party has pledged to provide monthly pension of Rs. 4000 to senior citizens, widows, disabled, beedi workers, single women, toddy tappers, weavers, AIDS and filaria patients and kidney patients undergoing dialysis.  

In addition to this, health insurance of Rs. 10 lakh would be provided under Rajiv Aarogyasri Scheme. 

Telangana Cheyutha Scheme Benefits

• Monthly pension of Rs. 4000 will be provided to senior citizens, widows, disabled, beedi workers, single women, toddy tappers, weavers, AIDS and filaria patients and kidney patients undergoing dialysis.
• Rajiv Aarogyasri - Health insurance of Rs. 10 lakh will be provided.
