इंदिरा गांधी मातृत्व पोषण योजना की शुरूआत महिला सशक्तीकरण की दिशा में राजस्थान सरकार द्वारा उठाया गया एक अहम कदम है। स्वस्थ एवं पोषित बच्चे देश का भविष्य हैं। गर्भवती महिला को उचित पोषण मिलेगा तो बच्चा भी स्वस्थ पैदा होगा। इसी क्रम में मुख्यमंत्री ने सन 2020 में इंदिरा गाँधी मातृत्व पोषण योजना की शुरुआत की थी। पहले चरण में इस प्रसूति सहायता योजना को 4 जिलों में लागू किया गया था। इसकी सफलता को देखते हुए अब इस योजना को पूरे राज्य मे लागू करने की घोषणा मुख्यमंत्री द्वारा की गयी है। Check the complete details about the assistance amount distribution, installment, apply process and other things here.Installments / Amount in Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana
There would be 5 stages for the assistance amount distribution under Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme 2023 in Rajasthan:-
- First installment of Rs. 1000 – Pregnancy, Screening and Registration
- Second installment of 1000 rupees – Check at least two
- Third installment of 1000 rupees – On institutional delivery
- Fourth installment 2000 rupees – On all regular vaccines up to 105 days after childbirth
- Fifth installment of 1000 rupees – On adopting the means of family planning within 3 months of the birth of the second child.
Assistance amount will be provided to the pregnant women beneficiaries in all the districts at the time of second child born.
राजस्थान इंदिरा गाँधी मातृत्व पोषण योजना पंजीकरण प्रक्रिया
- योजना के तहत पंजीकरण की प्रक्रिया सरल और कागज रहित है।
- लाभार्थी को केवल एक बार अपने पासबुक और आधार कार्ड की छायाप्रति (Photocopy) को जमा करना होगा।
- योजना की शर्तों का अनुपालन करने पर लाभार्थी की जानकारी स्वतः ही IGMPY ऍप में पंजीकृत हो जाएगी।
- पंजीकरण के प्रत्येक चरण के 30 दिन के भीतर लाभार्थी को किश्त मिल जाएगी।
इंदिरा गाँधी मातृत्व पोषण योजना का क्रियान्वन
- खान और भूविज्ञान विभाग के अधीन जिला खनिज फाउंडेशन ट्रस्ट (डिस्ट्रिक्ट मिनरल फाउंडेशन ट्रस्ट) खनन प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में महिला और बाल विकास के लिए योजना का वित्त पोषण करेगा।
- महिला और बाल विकास विभाग के आंगनबाड़ी केंद्रों द्वारा योजना का क्रियान्वन होगा।
- चिकित्सा, स्वास्थय और परिवार कल्याण विभाग के ANM और आशा लाभार्थियों को उचित पोषण और शिशु के देखभाल सम्बन्धी परामर्श देंगे।
Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana Apply Online Process
Rajasthan Maternity Nutrition Scheme or Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana 2023 was launched firstly on 19 November 2020. State govt. offers Rs. 6,000 to pregnant women under this scheme in Rajasthan. This assistance amount of Rs. 6000 is provided in in five stages on the birth of the second child.Similar to other maternity benefit schemes such as PM Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Rajasthan govt. may also invite online application forms for the scheme. Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana online registration forms may become available at the official website rajasthan.gov.in or at a new dedicated portal. Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has said that launching of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana is an important step taken by the state government towards women empowerment. If a pregnant woman gets adequate nutrition, then the baby will also be born healthy.
Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme to Be Implemented in the Entire State as announced in Rajasthan Budget 2022-23. The Chief Minister said that this scheme aims to give priority to health and nutrition of the women and children.

As per the official information, the pregnant woman and her children will get assistance amount in all districts. The help under Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme is being provided to the pregnant woman and her child for adequate nutrition. For this, purpose applicants will have to show the following documents:-
- Aadhaar card
- Photo copy of bank account or Post office account passbook
- 4 Recent Passport Size Photographs

Extension of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana
The state govt. of Rajasthan has started Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme 2023 for the nutrition of pregnant women, female mothers and children. Now in Rajasthan Budget 2022-2023 presented on 23 February 2022, CM Ashok Gehlot has extended the implementation of IGMPY across the state. This imperative scheme of the state government will not only reduce malnutrition in mothers and children, but will also increase awareness amongst the people in regard to the importance of mother’s health and her nutrition level for proper development of children.

Around 3,50,000 women would be benefited from the Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme in the state. Rajasthan govt. will spend an amount of Rs. 210 crore per annum for the successful implementation of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana. CM Ashok Gehlot has termed the scheme as historic on his birthday in the name of former PM Indira Gandhi. Women Empowerment by Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme
The CM called it a historic occasion and extended good wishes to the Woman and Child Development Department for the same. He said that the state government started this scheme in compliance with the provisions of the National Food Security Act (NFSA), 2013 for the women having second delivery.
Family members of the women should take complete care of the pregnant and lactating women and children with the same intent. Earlier, it was started in four most backward TSP districts of the state i.e. Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur and Pratapgarh, based on the rankings of Mother & Child Nutrition indicators. Now in Rajasthan Budget 2022-2023, CM expanded its scope to the entire state.
CM Ashok Gehlot said that the state government will implement this scheme in the whole of Rajasthan including Saharia-dominated Baran district. Shri Gehlot said that he would demand Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to implement this scheme in the entire country on the lines of Rajasthan by writing a letter. He thanked UPA chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi for suggesting this scheme and said that the food security in the country was ensured through a law during the UPA regime.
Nutrition Levels to be Improved
There was a provision in the NFSA to make a scheme to improve nutrition levels of the pregnant women and lactating mothers and children. The departments of Medical & Health and Mines & Geology will work with the department of Woman & Child Development for this scheme. More than 3.5 lakh women will be benefitted every year. There will be an annual expenditure of Rs. 210 crore for this scheme and it will be funded by the State Mineral Foundation Trust under Mines & Geology department.
Logo / Poster / Brochure of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana Launched
Shri Gehlot has earlier released the logo, poster and brochure of the scheme while marking official launch of Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme. On the launch occasion, two beneficiaries each from the four districts were given cheques of Rs. 1000 each as the first instalment of this scheme. Mines and Gopalan Minister Shri Pramod Jain Bhaya said that the scheme is a big historic step towards women empowerment. Beneficiary Women Will Get Rs 6000 In Five Phases.
Woman & Child Development Minister said that the objective of the Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana is to improve the nutrition level of pregnant women and lactating mothers and children upto the age of 3 years. On birth of the second child, the beneficiary woman will be given Rs. 6000 directly in her bank account in five instalments.
First instalment of Rs. 1000 will be given after the pregnancy test and registration; second instalment of Rs. 1000 after completion of minimum two ante-natal check-ups. Third instalment of Rs. 1000 on institutional delivery; fourth instalment of Rs. 2000 after getting all the regular vaccines administered to the newborn within 105 days of birth and after the birth registration of the child. The fifth and last instalment of Rs. 1000 will be given on the couple adopting a means of family planning within three months after birth. This way, this scheme would also encourage family planning.
Phase 1 of Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme Rajasthan
Chief Minister Launched Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana in 4 TSP Districts. Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana to Promote Proper Nourishment of Pregnant Women, Lactating Mothers & Children. The Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme Phase 1 was launched in 4 tribal dominated (most backward) districts whose name were as follows:-
- Udaipur
- Dungarpur
- Banswara
- Pratapgarh
These 4 districts were selected on the basis of ranking of maternal and child nutrition indicators. It is to be remembered that now CM announced to extend its coverage to the pregnant women across the entire state.
Cut Off Date for Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana
She said that pregnant women will get benefits under this scheme if the second child was born on November 1, 2020 or thereafter. At present, the entire amount on this scheme is being spent by the state government. Secretary Woman & Child Development said that this scheme will be implemented through Anganwadi Centres. ANMs and ASHA Sahayoginis of the health department would be in regular trough with the beneficiary women for proper nutrition and care of their children. Children’s Investment Fund Foundation and IP Global will help the state government for implementation of this scheme.
