The decision to deposit money in farmer's bank accounts was taken by CM after a high level meeting with State Finance and Agriculture Department officials. Rythu Bandhu Scheme in Telangana Budget 2024-25

On 10 February 2024, Finance Minister presented Telangana Budget 2024-25. While presenting the budget, FM said "I would like to place an important point regarding Rythu Bandhu scheme before this august House. The Rythu Bandhu was introduced by the previous Government with the stated aim of giving investment/input assistance to the farmer. Though it is a welcome gesture it is unfortunate that this assistance went into the pockets of the rich landlords and ineligible people". 

FM added "Rythu Bandhu assistance was given to lands that were not cultivable, lands that had hillock areas, and even for roads. The biggest beneficiaries were landlords owning huge tracts of lands but who never cultivated them and also real estate dealers holding thousands of acres. The government went against its own GO. Realizing this, we decided to review the scheme and implement Rythu Bharosa to the actually eligible beneficiaries @ Rs 15,000 per acre. We also promised to include the tenant farmers who were left in the lurch by the previous government".

Telangana Rythu Bandhu Amount Release Date

Telangana Rythu Bandhu scheme has been started as a major step towards farmers empowerment. It is the first ever farmer investment support scheme in India. Rythu Bandhu scheme or Farmers Investment Support Scheme (FISS) is a welfare program to support farmer's investment for two crops a year by the Government of Telangana. TS government is providing 60 lakh farmers, Rs. 5000 per acre per season to support the farm investment, twice a year, for rabi (Yasangi) and kharif (Rainy) seasons. This is a first direct farmer investment support scheme in India, where the cash is paid directly. This time the Telangana Rythu Bandhu amount release date is 11 December 2023.

This scheme will help the farmers sell more and make them financially stable as well. In order to avail this scheme, the farmers must be a resident of Telangana state and must own the land. The scheme is applicable for small and marginal farmers. Telangana Chief Minister announced that a sum of Rs. 5,000 per acre under the Rythu Bandhu scheme for Rabi season would be firstly credited into bank accounts of small farmers who own below 5 acres of land. Those who own more than 10 acres land will get the benefit based on the availability of funds in the current farming season.

The striking features of TS Rythu Bandhu Scheme includes the following: 

• Rs 10,000 per acre grant to all Telangana farmers every year (Rs 5000 per crop season).
• 60 lakh farmers in the state to benefit.

The scheme was firstly announced by the Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekhar Rao at Farmers Coordiantion Committee (Rythu Samanvaya Samithi) conference at Jayashankar Agriculture University on 25 February 2018.

A special dashboard software is being developed by the NIC to monitor the scheme remotely. The sample for the research is selected through random sampling. Download Rythu Bandhu Scheme form and take a printout to enable yourself to submit your bank details. Then each of the beneficiary will get Rs. 5,000 per acre per season directly into the bank accounts through DBT mode.

Online Transfer of Amount in Rythu Bandhu Scheme

Telangana government has decided to transfer amount under Rythu Bandhu Scheme directly into bank accounts of farmers. Now the Telangana Rythu Bandhu Scheme payments are being made online. The state govt. will not issue any more cheques for the farmers as it was done in the 1st & 2nd installments of Rythu Bandhu Yojana 2018.

Assistance amount under Telangana Rythu Bandhu Scheme will redefine the future of agriculture in the state as well as across the entire country. This initiative is first-of-their-kind never seen initiative for farmers welfare.

 

How to Check TS Rythu Bandhu Scheme Payment Status

• Go to the official link https://treasury.telangana.gov.in/
• After opening the page, you can view the options year, type and PPBNO.
• Now, select the year and the scheme you are looking for followed by your PPBNO details. Click on the submit option.
• After clicking submit, you can now view the status page. If the Rythu money has been released, then the date of payment will be visible on the screen. Else, if the application is pending, you can get the amount within one week.
