About Ek Station Ek Utpad Yojana 2024
Under एक स्टेशन एक उत्पाद योजना scheme, OSOP outlets are being allotted at railway stations to showcase, sell and give high visibility to indigenous/local products. Allotment is done to all applicants on a rotation basis who meet objectives of Ek Station Ek Utpad Yojana. The pilot One Station One Product scheme was started earlier in March 2022.As of 9 November, 1037 stations are covered with 1134 OSOP outlets across the country. The OSOP initiative, aimed at providing opportunities for enhanced livelihood through skill development, focuses on local artisans, potters, weavers, handloom weavers, craftsmen, and more. The pilot project, launched on March 25, 2022, for 15 days at 19 stations, paved the way for the comprehensive OSOP policy issued on May 20, 2022.
Under this scheme, Indian Railways offers uniquely designed sale outlets at stations, showcasing indigenous/local products with distinctive aesthetics. Allotment of outlets is carried out through a tendering process, ensuring a fair distribution of opportunities to applicants meeting the scheme's objectives.
Objectives of One Station One Product Scheme
One Station One Product Scheme aims to encourage indigenous and specialized products and crafts of India by providing display and sale outlets on railway stations across the country. The OSOP products are specific to the place. The main objectives of Ek Station Ek Utpad Yojana are:-- To provide enhanced livelihood & welfare of local artisans, potters, weavers/handloom weavers, tribals etc. a marketing channel through the medium of earmarked space for stalls at platforms would be provided.
- To help in promotion of local items, handicrafts, artifacts, handlooms, etc. distinct to the particular area.
Products under Ek Station Ek Utpad Yojana include artefacts made by indigenous tribes, handlooms by local weavers, handicrafts like world famous wood carving, chikankari and zari-zardozi work on clothes, or spices tea, coffee and other processed/semi processed food items/products indigenously grown in the area.
Beneficiaries under One Station One Product Scheme
As per the official statement of the Ministry of Railways, a total of 39,847 direct beneficiaries have availed opportunities under the OSOP scheme, with an additional estimated 1,43,232 indirect beneficiaries assuming an average of 5 beneficiaries per allotment. The cumulative sales from these outlets have reached an impressive Rs. 49.58 crores.
To ensure the scheme's benefits reach the target groups, extensive public outreach measures, including newspaper advertisements, social media campaigns, public announcements, press notifications and personal visits to artisans have been implemented by the Railway Authorities, the statement added.

The applicant will be allotted a temporary stall/kiosk/trolley for 15 days on deposition of Rs 1000/- with Railways.

विभिन्न रेलवे स्टेशनों पर इस तरह के उत्पाद बिकने लगे हैं. इसीलिए अब विभिन्न उद्यमियों और छोटे व्यापारियों का रुझान इन कियोस्क पर पड़ने लगा है. जहां से स्थानीय उत्पाद बेचे जा सकते हैं. अगर कियोस्क लेने के लिए आवेदन करना चाहते हैं तो रेलवे स्टेशन के अधीक्षक के पास आवेदन कर सकते हैं. कोई भी इच्छुक व्यक्ति इस योजना के तहत आवेदन कर सकता है.15 दिनों के लिए देना होगा एक हजार रुपये का शुल्क
15 दिनों तक सामान बेचने के लिए भारतीय रेलवे इस बढ़ती महंगाई में भी नाममात्र रुपये वसूल रहा है. 15 दिनों तक स्थानी उत्पाद बेचने का किराया सिर्फ एक हजार रुपये रखा गया है. इससे सस्ते में कोई व्यक्ति अपना माल भी बेच सकेगा. वहीं, 15 दिन बाद अन्य व्यक्ति को कियोस्क मिलेगा तो वह भी अपना रोजगार कर पाएगा. एक स्टेशन एक उत्पाद योजना इसी वर्ष शुरू की गई है.
Ek Station Ek Utpad Yojana के तहत हैंडीक्राफ्ट, शिल्पकृति, टैक्सटाइल्स और हैंडलूम, ट्रेडिशनल गारमेंट्स, लोकल कृषि उत्पाद, प्रोसेस्ड फूड की कैटेगरी को प्राथमिकता दी जा रही है.
