HP Indira Gandhi Mahila Samman Nidhi Yojana 2024 Apply, Eligibility, List of Documents [Rs. 1500 Scheme for Women]

Himachal Pradesh government has launched Indira Gandhi Mahila Samman Nidhi Yojana from 1 January 2024. Under this scheme, the state govt. will provide Rs. 1500 per month to all the women above 18 years of age in Lahaul-Spiti district. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that "this commitment, pledged to all women across the state, has been fulfilled". Indira Gandhi Mahila Samman Nidhi Yojana in HP Budget 2024-25

While presenting the HP Budget 2024-25, Finance Minister said "Our Government has started disbursing an increased pension of Rs.1,500 from Rs.1,150 per month to about 2.37 lakh women in the State. Additionally, all the women in Lahaul & Spiti have started getting a monthly pension of Rs.1,500 from the current financial year".

About HP Indira Gandhi Mahila Samman Nidhi Yojana 2024

The chief minister had earlier on Himachal Day, which is observed on April 15, announced to provide Rs. 1,500 to all the 9,000 women of Spiti above 18 years of age from June 2023. Congress govt. had even initiated the process to give Rs. 1,500 per month to all the women in the age group 18 to 60 years, but natural disaster in form of floods and landslides created roadblocks. 

CM now declared that the women in Lahaul and Spiti district would get Rs .1,500 per month from January 1, 2024. Further, 2.37 lakh women in the state drawing Rs 1,100 pension per month would now get Rs. 1,500. CM added that the government will also support the higher education of widows children from the next fiscal year.

The chief minister, Sukhu, also announced a Rs. 6 per litre hike in the procurement price of milk i.e from Rs. 31 to Rs. 37 per litre from January, 2024. Moreover, the state government will also procure cow dung at Rs 2 per kilogram. These decisions are significant steps toward farmers prosperity.

Eligibility Criteria for Indira Gandhi Mahila Samman Nidhi Scheme

While mentioning the eligibility criteria, CM said "18 से 59 वर्ष की आयु वाली स्पीति की स्थायी निवासी महिलाएं और बौद्ध भिक्षुणियां (चोमो) योजना के तहत 1,500 रुपये लेने के लिए पात्र होंगी। स्पीति क्षेत्र में करीब 46 फीसदी आबादी महिलाओं की है। इंदिरा गाँधी महिला सम्मान निधि योजना की राशि प्रतिमाह बैंक या डाकघर के खाते में दी जाएगी।" 

How to Apply for Indira Gandhi Mahila Samman Nidhi Yojana

इंदिरा गाँधी महिला सम्मान निधि योजना इस क्षेत्र की महिलाओं के आर्थिक सशक्तीकरण में सहायक होगी। इंदिरा गाँधी महिला सम्मान निधि योजना का लाभ प्राप्त करने के लिए इच्छुक महिला को निर्धारित प्रपत्र पर तहसील कल्याण अधिकारी काजा के पास आवेदन करना होगा। 

List of Documents Required for IGMSNY

• आयु प्रमाणपत्र, 
• हिमाचली बोनाफाइड-मूल निवासी प्रमाणपत्र, 
• बैंक-डाकघर खाता संख्या के लिए पासबुक की छायाप्रति, 
• आधार कार्ड व राशन कार्ड की छायाप्रति, 

बौद्ध भिक्षुणियां को पंचायत अथवा बौद्ध मठ की मुख्य भिक्षुणी की ओर से जारी प्रमाणपत्र  भी देना होगा। 

Exclusion Criteria for Indira Mahila Samman Nidhi Yojna

While mentioning the exclusion criteria, CM said "योजना के तहत ऐसी महिलाओं को शामिल नहीं किया जाएगा, जिनके परिवार से कोई सरकारी कर्मचारी या पेंशनर होगा। भूतपूर्व सैनिक व सैनिक विधवाएं, मानदेय प्राप्त आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ता, सहायिका, आशा वर्कर, मिड डे मील वर्कर, मल्टी टास्क वर्कर, सामाजिक सुरक्षा पेंशन लाभार्थी और वस्तु एवं सेवाकर के लिए पंजीकृत व्यक्ति तथा आयकर दाता महिलाओं को भी योजना में शामिल नहीं किया जाएगा।"

"किसी भी लाभार्थी के खिलाफ यदि अपात्र होने की शिकायत प्राप्त होती है तो उसकी आवश्यक जांच तहसील कल्याण अधिकारी की ओर से की जाएगी। ऐसे लाभार्थी की निधि तत्काल कल्याण अधिकारी की ओर से रोक दी जाएगी। जांच पूरी होने के बाद इस बाबत आगामी फैसला लिया जाएगा," CM added.

Making Himachal Pradesh Self Reliant by 2027

Underlining HP government's focus on reforming the system, CM said his government aims to make Himachal self-reliant by 2027 and one of India's most prosperous states by 2032. He also promised that 20,000 jobs would be given in one year. "Three main guarantees, including restoration of old pension scheme, introducing English in the government schools, and Rs. 680 crore Rajiv Gandhi start-up scheme have been implemented. It has been done despite acute financial crunch and monsoon flood fury creating a major hurdle," Sukhu said.

Taking potshots at the Centre and state BJP leaders for not giving adequate relief to the state during the worst ever natural disaster, Sukhu said that neither our demand to declare the calamity in the state as ‘National Disaster’ was fulfilled nor were we given a special relief package of Rs 12,000 crore.

He highlighted the decision to dissolve the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to curb corruption and criticized the previous BJP government’s huge loan that burdened the current administration. He said that every Himachali is today under a debt of Rs 1.02 lakh due to the previous BJP government’s financial mismanagement.
