Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana in Punjab
On 27 November 2023 on the occasion of Guru Parb, CM Bhagwant Mann has launched Punjab Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana. The scheme, named the मुख्यमंत्री तीर्थ यात्रा योजना in its first phase would run from Nov 27, 2023 to February 29, 2024. In the 1st phase of the scheme, around 50,000 people shall go to pilgrimage.
Pilgrims will be taken to religious destinations, both within and outside the state, via trains and buses. Earlier on 6 November 2023, the Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister himself had approved the Free Pilgrimage Scheme, allowing state residents to undertake tirath yatra. Punjab cabinet has made a budgetary provision of Rs. 40 crore for this initiative.
For 13 weeks running of the scheme, pilgrims can visit places like Sh. Nanded Sahib, Patna Sahib, Varanasi, Anandpur Sahib, Talwandi Sabo, Mata Naina Devi Mandir etc. The first train under Punjab Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojna has left from Amritsar Railway Station to Shri Nanded Sahib.

In Delhi Govt Teerth Yatra Scheme, senior citizens can go on pilgrimages at the government's expense.
Yatra could not be held in FY 2020 and FY 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. A total of 1,100 residents per assembly constituency can avail this facility in a year subject to the cap of total 77,000 residents per year.
How to Apply Online for Delhi Sarkar Teerth Yatra Yojana 2023
Any resident of the national capital aged 60 or above can go to pilgrimage under Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana after acquiring a certificate from a local MLA, stating that he lives in the legislator's constituency. One attendant aged 21 yrs or more can accompany each traveller whose expenses will also be taken up by the Delhi government. Delhi Sarkar Tirth Yatra Yojna was approved by the Delhi cabinet on 9 January 2018 and launched in the same year itself. All expenses related to travel, food and accommodation are borne by the state govt. of NCT of Delhi.

- On landing page you can click at "New User" link under "Citizen's Corner" section.

- You can select document type, enter document number to open e district delhi mukhyamantri tirth yatra yojana registration form.
- Enter all details like identity document details, gender, basic information, date of birth, address, e-mail ID, mobile number and submit it.
- A valid Mobile No. is mandatory for online registration. Any wrong information will lead to cancellation of registration. After registration, access code and password will be sent at the mobile no. provided in the registration form.
- The registration needs to be completed within 72 hours by providing the access code and password at the e-District Delhi website otherwise registration will not be completed and citizen will be required to provide the registration details again. In case you do not have an Aadhaar No. or Voter ID Card, please apply at any of the counters at Tehsil/Sub-Division Office.

Pilgrims can apply for travel on hereby mentioned 15 routes under Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana in Delhi. Around 1,000 pilgrims from each assembly constituency would be selected for Kejriwal Free Tirth Yatra Scheme. All the selected applicants would also be entitled for an accidental insurance coverage of Rs. 1 lakh.
Delhi Tirth Yatra Yojana Travel Details - Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant/spouse must be a resident of the territorial jurisdiction of NCT of Delhi.
- The applicant must have completed 60 years of age (As on 1st January of the year in which the Application for availing the Yojana is submitted)
- The applicant/spouse must NOT be employed with Central/State Government or Local/Autonomous bodies.
- The applicant/spouse must NOT have ever availed the scheme in the past.
- The age of the attendant must be more than 21 years(In case opting for attendant)
Documents Required for Kejriwal Teertha Yatra Scheme
- Application in the prescribed Form along with Self Declaration
- Self-Attested copy of Medical certificate mentioning the applicant/Spouse is mentally/physically fit to undertake the proposed journey.
- Self-Attested Copies of Delhi Voter ID Card.(For Applicant/Spouse)
- Self Declaration.
- Copy of Certificate from MLA for residence of his/her constituency or any Minister from GNCT of Delhi or Chairman , Tirath Yaatra Vikas Samiti GNCT of Delhi.

- should have a natural expression (closed mouth)

- In case it is found that any applicant/spouse has ever availed the MukhyamantriTirthYatra scheme in the past, he/she will be liable to repay the entire amount incurred for the yatra along with a penalty of 25%.
- Applicant/Spouse above 60 years of age will have a choice to take one attendant with him provided the age of attended must be above 21 years of age.
- Incase travelling with spouse, the facility of only one attendant will be available.
- Incase applicants won’t be able to undertake the pilgrimage, he/she has to provide intimation upto the 07 days before the travel date. Otherwise, he/she shall not be eligible to apply under this scheme again
- The Yatris will not be allowed to take or use any inflammable material or liquor or any intoxicating articles
- Yatris will be fully responsible for his/her jewellary and belongings during the yatra.
- Yatris are expected to behave in a civilized manner as per the requirements of the TirthYatra.
- Yatris are required to follow the instructions of the Liason Officer.
- The Government or the TirthYatra Vikas Samiti will not be responsible for any accident or mis-happening during the journey.

Need for Delhi Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana 2023
India is always known for its diverse cultural heritage and has several pilgrimage places. Every year, people particularly senior citizens travel for dharmik yatra. In lieu of this, Delhi govt. in the year 2018 launched Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana. In this scheme, the state govt. make arrangements for free travel of citizens above 60 years of age at various spiritual places.
Applicants will have to enter their correct personal details, govt. approved ID, bank passbook, date of birth proof, mobile number to make Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana Registration. There is NO offline application process to avail benefits of CM Teerth Yatra Yojana in Delhi.
Delhi Sarkar Tirth Yatra Yojana Last Year
Last year, batch of 1,000 pilgrims under the Delhi government's Mukhya Mantri Tirth Yatra Yojna for the elderly left for Gujarat’s Dwarka on 14 February 2022 (evening). The train carrying the 1,000 elderly pilgrims from Delhi was flagged off from Safdarjung railway station at 7pm. Another train with 1,000 pilgrims left for Rameshwaram on February 18.
Under the scheme, people aged 60 years and above are sent on pilgrimage to 15 routes on trips fully sponsored by the Delhi government. The government pays for travel, accommodation and other expenses of each pilgrim who can also take along an attendant with them. The scheme was launched in the year 2018 and state govt. is continuing this scheme.
