About Odisha Subhadra Yojana 2024-2025

Under the Odisha Subhadra Yojana, the ladies shall receive Rs. 50,000 as cash voucher which they can use over a duration of two years. 
Similar type of schemes are already running in other BJP led states namely Ladli Behna Yojana in Madhya Pradesh and Mahtari Vandan Yojana in Chhattisgarh state.

BJP has won 2 simultaneous elections in the Odisha state namely Lok Sabha elections as well as assembly elections in the year 2024 by defeating Naveen Patnaik led BJD. One of the main pledges made by the saffron party in its "Sankalp Patra" (election manifesto) was the "Subhadra Yojana". The programme is intended to empower women through financial support. The women can cash the voucher over a 2 year period and use the funds for their families.

Odisha Subhadra Yojna Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must belong to Odisha state.
  • Only women are eligible and can apply to reap benefits.
  • Also, each family will only have one beneficiary.
  • This benefit is only available to married women; single women are not eligible.
  • The woman should be between the ages of 23 and 59.
  • There should be no government employment for women.
  • The advantage of this strategy will be extended to one woman from one family.
  • Benefits under this system will be extended to Anganwadi workers.
